Atomic Gene - WOW!
I'm sure lots of you have seen these pictures come up on worldofballpythons.com, but for those of you that haven't take a look!
https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...18439724_n.jpg
Mike Wilbanks is the only one working with it that I know of, but correct me if I'm wrong!
It looks like it makes a paradox snake. That's an atomic queen bee, and see how you can see distinct pastel, lesser, and queen bee patterns and colors scrambled throughout. That's one exciting snake!

I saw this on FB today and was floored. I SO want to work with this gene someday. I just want to wait until it won't cost an arm and two legs. :P

Check this out:
http://thereptilereport.com/the-atomic-gene/
That links back to a discussion with video and pictures of lots of other wacked out atomic combos. Really cool genetics going on there!

I don't have a lot to add to this thread other than the fact that my jaw hit the floor when I saw this morph!:O I can't wait to see what all it can do!

That is just totally...whooaw.
I can hardly handle this one
And 'Slaw.....so did everyone else

Can't wait to get my hands on that gene :)

I want to see an atomic super black pastel or BEL :O

I love that Harvey Dent look on their heads. Very cool. :O:siamesetw

damn, this website "http://t hereptilerepo rt.com/the-atomic-g ene/" wont load in ages. (Spaces added so you dont waste time.) The whole website is affected, i guess it just contains too many banners and ads that refuse to load or that load extremely slowly, and is set to load the banners and ads first.
and if it finally does load, it only contains a link and no further info. Pointless. The link leads to a forum thread that links to one video, and some images that only Facebook-users can see. The forum thread is also extremely slow. The only relevant picture in the facebook album is the one posted in this thread and on WOBP anyway.
this is it: "http://w ww.reptileradio.net/ball-pyt hon-morphs/45099-m ke-wilbankss-atomi c-true-co-dom.html" (again, spaces added because i dont link to crap that doesnt work and only loads if you try with 10 tabs using different approaches and are willing to wait very, very long.)
All that is left after dissecting the source link is this one video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCNRFiCb2sU www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCNRFiCb2sU Aaand this one finally works like it should.
Anyway, i like that gene :) Im fascinated by the optics of dumerils boas, these often have what looks like different patterns over each other and it fades between the different patterns, one pattern in some areas and the other pattern in other areas and then areas where it fades from one to the other. First time ive seen a picture of a really nice dumerils boa i was thinking: If only we could somehow get these optics in BPs! And now this atomic-gene could be it.
So, what could work with the gene? I would love to see something like atomic + pinstripe + mojave + pastel. So that if you only pick two of the genes, you get different patterns depending on which two you pick. It has pastave in there, and jigsaw, and lemonblast. Lots of food for the atomic gene to make funky paradoxes with.
but yes, depending on how many paradoxes this triggers, something like atomic super black pastel would also be very interesting. Super black pastel normally eliminates all pattern, will it still with atomic? I wonder what it does to recessives like albino (dark paradoxes showing up maybe?) or genetic stripe (stripe broken up by normal-patterned paradoxes maybe?). So many unknowns, i will definitively follow what happens with this gene.
