Petco now making customers sign waivers for purchasing feeders?
so my local pet store was out of the mice i needed. all they had were these little black hoppers. my roommate was going to petco anyway, so i gave her some money to pick me up some feeders while she was there. it's been a couple months since i've had to go to petco to get mice. when she got home she told me petco made her sign a waiver stating that if one of the feeders bit her she wouldn't sue them. apparently a feeder bit someone, they got sick, and decided to sue petco. lol is this a nation wide thing or just the petco in my town? kind of ridiculous. anyone else had to do this? lol

Not the Petco's in Oakland started doing this...maybe they're keeping it on the down-low. Ugh, that's kind of a drag.

They did it to me in MA. The guy said it had something to do with feeders getting loose and causing mouse infestations. It's pretty obvious they're feeders because they're white lab mice, not the kind that live naturally in the area.

I was asked to do this in CT. I said "no ill pass, they won't be pets for very long." He didn't really argue with me.

I remember having to sign something about how I'd "take proper care" of the rats I bought from Petsmart for my boa (15 or so years ago). I couldn't help but snicker just a little. They had ideal conditions for the rest of their lives... :snake:

Yeah they had me do it once, then never asked again.
The girl there was like, "it's so we know they are going to a good home". I replied "Yes in my snakes tummy".
I think she was new, she acted like I killed her dog.

Lmao! The guy gave me a similar look. He was like "what do you mean exactly...?" And i was like "oh this is a meal for my snake. You guys don't have rats, thats why I'm getting 4 mice. She'll love ALL of them!" He looked genuinely afraid lol.

Aren't there enough rats in NYC already chewing things up?!? Kind of ironic...
