guy wants to trade, but to me it looks really bad, thoughts?
So some guy on CL wants to trade leos for his bp saying he don't know gender that it's beautiful and it eats frozen and has nice colors.Say's it might be a morph Then tells me his wife has cancer and wants to find the snake a home. And that his wife don't like the snake.then say's he's willing to trade for leos because he has 3 now. Well i've been waitin for pictures for a while now and today he finally sent me one well i don't know if it's just me or does this snake look really baddd???

It looks underfed and like it's had several bad sheds. It does look like it could use rescuing, but I don't think I'd feel good giving him more animals in exchange for it.

EDIT: It's not a morph for sure, just a clean, reduced pattern normal. I'm sure it would be beautiful with better husbandry, bigger meals, and quite possibly a trip to the vet.

The snake looks really bad. :O:(:(:(

Seriously, stuck shed all over and very thin, cage is inadequate, water dish is dirty. If you want to rescue the snake, that's one thing. But I wouldn't be trading any leos for it. If the guy's treated his snake this way, who know how well he'll take care of the leos???

And this doesn't look like any morph to me (keep in mind, the bulk of my experience is with boas, not balls). Seems to be a very "normal" normal.

A trade is trading a healthy animal in exchange for another healthy animal, that's a business transaction.

This is a RESCUE, he wants it out and given the condition he should simply be grateful that someone wants to give this animal a chance.

How do you think your geckos would be taken care of by this person?

    That poor baby...

This is probably terrible advice, but I would be inclined to tell him if he gives me the snake, I won't report him for animal abuse. Don't pay him for the snake, as that is not rescuing, it's just enabling him to continue his crap-care.

Also...I would probably report him anyways...
