What is this? Poop? Regurge?

Okay, I have had Kevin for a month and a bit without having him defecate, pee, regurge, or let anything out of his body. I fed him yesterday morning with a 20 gram adult mouse (he is 180 grams) and he took it down with no issues. I think and really hope that this is just poop, I am only asking because I have never seen boa poop, and this thing looks nothing like a BP poop.

I vote poop.

Looks more like regurged hair. Check your temps and feed something a tad on the small side next time you feed him. Moving and stress can cause it so it may just be a one time thing.

The mouse's hair was white for the last 2 Feedings, but his first few feeds with me were brown haired. Does this change your opinion at all? He moved out of QT into my BP rack a few weeks ago, and has taken 2 meals there. Temps are 90-80 ( hot ambient)

You really should QT for at least a month. That gives ample time for any signs of illness to show. It feels like a long time but it is better to be safe than sorry, especially with something unusual showing up in his cage. I think its just poop with some hair in it.

If you're up for it, dissect the little poo/regurge thing to investigate further.

It had been a month when I transferred him to the rack. I know it isn't very long, but I went and saw the breeders personal collection and everything looked perfect. Also, his QT cage was small, and he was being very active. Thanks for your concern,

In regards to qt, I like to see no less than 3 months.

In regards to your mystery item, looks like regurged hair to me too. My boas poop looks like, well poop. Little logs, not hairy blobs.

Also, that mac-n-cheese from Trader Joes is good! Lol

Okay, I am thinking it is regurged hair. Should I use the same protocol as a normal regurge?
