What would you do; Snow vs albino pied?
Like the title says, what would you get into given the options? Reasons would be appreciated :D

ALBINO PIED!!!! They look way cooler than snows. Now if you were gonna make VPI Lanvender Snows they I would say that snow. They look awesome. But regular snow vs albino pied I vote albino pied any day.

I was personally thinking the same thing, but then what male should I be seeking to start the project with for my current ladies.I was really hoping to be able to use both genes in the axanthic but it doesn't look like it so far.

What I was thinking because it would be most cost effective would be to start with the snow project and then work the offspring into the albino pied and ALSO the lightning pied. I'm hoping to pull an albino het vpi axanthic for around 350-400 in the next 1-2 years which would give me albinos hets, axanthic hets, double hets and snows. I would be hoping to pull a male snow out of that clutch i think so I could breed that back to the female pied in the next season or two and make pure triple hets. then from there go for my albino pied, lightning pieds and possible snow pieds?!

I may have been jumping the gun on a few aspects but correct me if i'm wrong. that could take as little as 4-5 years if all goes perfectly.

Oh and if I could pull a super fire, a firefly and a black pastel or better out of my other pairings....oh boy. some pretty combos with those.

That's how I'd swing it if I were doing that project starting with the snakes you have now. As you said, the albino het vpi axanthic for your vpi axanthic het albino makes it nice and neat, everything is either homozygous or 100% het from that pairing. Hopefully get that snow male to put to your pied female and produce the triples. I'd probably hold back 2 males and all of the female triple hets. Couple years after that you could be hatching out some madness.

yeah anything pied is cool. I personally love the axanthic gene but if you can't see it visually in a morph than what's the point other than future breeding projects, which even still - pieds are hotter than axanthics on the market.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

Oh definitely, the axanthic was more a personal preference I had and more of a spur of the moment buy at the expo than a calculated decision on where to go with it. The het albino and and 100 dollar off added just enough value for me to pull the trigger. I love axanthics in themselves and with also the potential to make albino/lightning pieds.
