    Tub Size
ok so my adults are in 28 qt Tubs and my one little one thats about 100 grams is in a 6 qt, what im wondering is when should she get a bigger tub? she cant go from 6 qt to 28 qt im assuming, so what qt size would you suggest for juveniles and when should she get upgraded into a juvenile tub?

I'd say after 6qt, you could go to 12qt or 15qt.

Check out C-Serpents racks fo size examples- http://cserpents.com/C_Serpents/RACK_SYSTEMS.html

Sub adults/adults in this (I have a 1100+g 0.1 Pied and several ~450-1100g snakes in these tubs)

Breeders in this (I have my 1500g male Pied and my 1300g 0.1 Spider in here. My 1100g 0.1 Pied will be moving in this week).

I dont use hides in any rack tubs except for one. I have a 1.0 Bumblebee hatchling that will just not stop wandering his tub unless I put a hide in there. He seems very stressed without a hide.

It really depends on the individual. Some will freek out with that big of a jump, some don't care at all. I would give it a shot and see if he keeps eating and hiding. If you put him in there and he won't stop wandering or calm down after a few days you could go back to a smaller one! I have yearlings in my main adult rack that could care less, and I have adults that go off feed unless they are in a super tight juvi tub. You never know!

Thanks guys i actually found a 12qt tub that fits my rack so im all set there now im just wondering at what size should i mover her because shes only 100 grams right now probably about a month old, like corey you said u have 450 and up in juvies should i really wait till 400 i feel like a 400 gram snake in a 6 qt bin wouldn't leave much breathing room so about when do you move them up to juvie tubs?

I actually start little ones right into 28qt tubs with lots of fake plants, two hides, and crumpled up newspaper. A 400 gram BP is a 6 qt would be too tight of a fit for my liking too.

I moved my little ones from 6 qt to 16 qt when they hit 250-300 grams. That's about when they start to really fill out one side of the tub lol.

Once they hit 750 grams, they're moved into a 28 qt with a nice hide :D. This is to help them get used to the change. Several of the ones I recently moved had to get used to the hide. My enchi lesser boy didn't know how to properly use one :D. He would sit behind it, under the paper towels under the hide, or on the side of the hide lol.

It's actually quite fascinating to see. My snakes who have had hides their whole lives immediately go into the hide once I put them back in their tub. The ones who are introduced to hides like to scope the outside of the hide before actually going in!

I go from 6 to 15ish to 32. I suppose you could go right to what you are using as an adult tub, but I would get subadult tubs if I were you. Shoebox tub, sweater tubs, under the bed tubs (that's basically what I use).
