Priced out material from Home Depot = $136

I'll apologize for the assortment of questions first of all. I'm a newb.

Your Home Depot price list included what? Peg boards, 2x4 and 2x2, screws, metal tape?

Still need the heat tape, tubs and a T/H-stat, right? How much does that run, generally speaking?

Can this be done with belly heat?

Looks nice and easy to put together, relatively speaking. For 140 bucks, I couldn't complain.

this does not include the tubs, heat tape, thermo. Don't know about installing belly heat.

I recently bought heat tape from home depot and i believe it was around like $5.

I will be building one of these this weekend.

Home Depot does have heat tape. I know this for a fact.

What I'm not sure that Home Depot has is Flexwatt. I'm also not sure of the difference between ordinary heat-tape and Flexwatt.

I'm assuming though that typical heat-tape might work a bit differently on a thermostat than Flexwatt, if at all.

Can't be of much to you there.

It was probably three years ago. We used it to wrap some plastic pipes outside to keep them from freezing.

Definitely didn't look like the stuff in that video. Much thinner, talking like 1/2 inch wide.
