Think I broke my toilet with a rat.
My big female Cinny didn't eat her rat the other night, so the next day I took it out and flushed it down the toilet the way I usually do with refusals. I know it's kind of risky, have definitely had to use the plunger more than once to get them the whole way down. Well, this one got really jammed up. Had to plunge away at it for a good 5 minutes to get things flowing again. Sounded like there was just air in the pipes and when it finally did go down it kept pumping for about 3 flushes worth of water. Now it runs very slowly and just isn't the same as it was before. Very weak flush, doesn't get a nice spiral going and takes way longer than it should. So yeah, I broke it. Hope it eventually passes through but it's not lookin too good. I assume it must still be stuck in there somewhere. Not really looking for advice, just sharing my stupid, semi-lazy, risk-taking mistake. That was my favorite toilet in the house too, damnit!

I should probably give that method a try.

And this seemed like a good idea why ?

I'm not trying to be mean, goodness knows I've done some rather dumb things in my day, but for pity's sake, if you had a few close calls already, why oh why did you keep doing it?

This really sounds like a Jeff Foxworthy joke. "Here's Your Sign"

Lmao! At what point in the thought process did that start sounding like a good idea? ;)

I've flushed half eaten rats before, but never a whole rat.
Perhaps I should rethink my method of disposal. Haha...
