VERY pink belly
Why oh why do I let these things stress me out so badly? Ugh...
My pinstripe has a very pink belly. I'm checking temps obsessively to make sure he's not getting burnt, and there's just no way. He's also very testy. And he's a bit crinkly. But it's been a few days since I've noticed and he still hasn't gone blue yet... I read the sticky thread (again) on shedding, and it said pink belly for 2 daysish, so I'm getting nervous. I haven't had him for a shed yet, so this might just be what his look like. I only have one other to compare him to, and Jackson doesn't get pink at all. Sooo, naturally I have to irrationally spaz out.

My male Pastel gets a pink belly a full week before he goes blue... every snake had his/her own way of doing things. They just love to stress us out :P

Stop worrying! If the temps are correct, it's due to shed, some get more pink than others lol

Nothing to worry about, he's going into shed.

I had never noticed this on my normal but like 4 days she went into the blue during her last shed her belly was reallllllyyyyy pink. I dont remember seeing this on her before but it happened last time lol.

Re: VERY pink belly
yup SHED BELLY! my mojo girl got super pink last time more then she ever has so i actually thought she was mildly burned...nope. just shed belly.
i used to check temps neurotically too but have calmed down some. dont worry, once you get into a good routine with monitoring the temps & humidity, it gets a tad easier. i write everything down in notebooks & am crazy with details for the just-in-case scenario for a possible future vet visit.

A good shed is just what your little guy needs right now, especially after the trouble with the mites. I wouldn't be suprised if he eats for you a day or so after this shed.
Relax, all is well :gj:
