A saltwater tank is not that big of a commitment once a mouth water change if you set it up right... its when you put in live rock and coral it becomes a everyother day commitment. but being that you are so close i can help you with the set-up if you need it. and we can frag trade if you do coral.

Yes the live rock holds most of the bacteria, but I took it out once on someones advice and some research and the whole thing crashed red slime and diatoms everywhere!!! so I put them back in there and in a week it was all gone.... might be a timing thing but i go by the "if its not broken don't fix it" rule.
