Rack with lids?

    Rack with lids?
Would I be a blasphemous loser if I utilized the lids on my snake rack enclosures? My metal shelf that the rack is based on doesn't adjust to the exact tolerances required to run lidless. I don't see why I couldn't just raise my shelves farther apart and use lids (leaving space enough between shelves to work in the bins without having to remove them). Thoughts?

What I'm actually asking is: am I the only one who does this?

Who else uses racks with lids on the containers.

I've seen some people in vids do this as well. I stack tubs so I have to use lids, but I like the secure feeling of having locking lids.

I guess it's just personal preference.

I figure some might argue it's just a shelf if I still have to use lids. That may be, but it's a heated shelf- and I'm fairly happy with it. Especially since I can house quite a few animals. Thanks for your input :)

I can always build a big nice rack later (if I do, I'm building it from scratch, and to last a loooong time).

I use the lids in my rack. For one it make the wife feel better. But it give me th eoption to fit more tubs as well. The blue lid will fit one short ways or a can chave two that over lap some but with the lids it's fine.

Oh of course, nothing better than having more room for more snakes :D.

Definitely post pics in the DIY forum of the whole process. I'd love to make a rack, but maybe one day :P.

It would make cleaning way faster cleaning that underside (snake side) of each shelf is a monster pain in the butt. (and back, knees, elbows)
