Genetics Masters Help....
Hey everyone im kinda stumped and I need a bit of help. I know a far bit about genetics and designer morphs combos but im stumped on this. Can a snake be a double super? ex. pastaves hook up, is it possible for an offspring to be a super pastel BEL? Im trying to figure out and make a list how many possible combinations i can make from my 4 morphs and this combo if possible has em stumped.
2nd question. Would all BEL combos just be white or would a BEL bumble bee or lemon blast BEL look different naturally? or just under black lights it would be visable?
Re: Genetics Masters Help....
When combining mutations you need to consider which are different mutations of the same gene (alleles) and which are different mutations of different genes. The "super pewter" is homozygous for both pastel and cinnamon which is possible because the pastel and cinnamon mutations are on separate genes. However, the rules are different when working with alleles. Because lesser/butter, mojave, phantom/mystic, Vin Russo, special, hidden, and the normal version of the same gene are an allele group no one ball python can have more than two copies of the group. So you will not be able to make a lesser mojave mystic special for example.

So far its said 256 possiblities but its actually more like 36. ( Male - pastel x pin x spider x mojo, Female same genes added into calculator and that was the results.)
81 different results actually

How do u get 81? i doube checked n i got 28 combos, 4 base n 1 normal..... but this is why i asked lol.
I know a fair bit more then the basics of ball python genetics i was just wondering how far i could get my collection with what i just have. also i know that the bels pattern shows up under black light hense why i said it and i know it will cancel out patterns of the morph mixed with it. i only asked if the bel was only 1/2 or a 1/3rd of the genetics if it would do anything to make it slightly more visible. This thread is kinda wondering off from what i asked.
The double super has been answered and i know about the allele groups i have put alot of the base morphs in there respective allele groups on my giant wall poster / square (only double combos). Took me soo long to figure them out ahahah wish i asked about this like 8 months ago you deffinatly would helped Randy.
