This snake was picked up by one of our Animal Control Officers after 2 people were seen throwing it in the dumpster.

    Can you help identify it?

    Thanks

I can't really tell. It looks like a couple of kings I've seen but just from those pics I can't tell. Maybe some one thats more familiar with all the different kings can confirm it for you. Good luck and I wish the little guy well:)

Looks like a Florida King. It'll be easier to nail down just which one after it sheds.

    Could it be a Coachwhip?

The head looks like a Bull or Pine Snake, but the coloring is wrong...I think.

i agree with leper65, bull or pine. based on available info. there are some color variations in both based on geographic location.

I thought Pine at first, but then saw a picture on google of a rat snake that looks similar.

I hope it sheds by monday so I can get better pics.

    Thanks all.

I would guess judging by the first pic the scales on the head tell me its not a pine but a kingsnake those two large scales aren't usually on any pines I've seen so I'm guessing a kingsnake. Looks like a florida king or a dark patternless goini king. IMO I could be wrong though lol just saying.
