    Rescued
So I get a message on facebook about a month ago from someone i went to highschool that i havent seen in quite a few years. Said she has seen some of my pics and sees i have some snakes. She asks if i would be interested in her AZ mountain king snake.

Come to find out her and her sons father have separated and he left the snake there. She wants nothing to do with it, hasnt feed it, cleaned its cage or water bowl.

I get over there tonight. the poor guy has no heat source on him at all. is in a 75 gallon tank w 2 hides, dirty bedding and dirty water bowl.

Well got him home, got some heating on him, gona let him get use to his new shack and get him on a feeding cycle starting this weekend.

Will post up pics this wknd.

is a 30 gallon tank sufficient for a adult? 85-90 degrees ok?

Good for you for rescuing the poor guy!! :gj: AZ Mountain Kings are nice!! I wonder how long he was in that condition :(

Anyway, yup, a 30 gal is definitely a good size for an adult, and 85-90 hot spot is perfect with an ambient temp of around 70. Can't wait to see pics!!

Just surprised the GF with him/her and she looks at me and says "thought you werent getting anymore for a while"

My response was just "Honey....he needed a good home"

She melted and said he was cute.

Well ive had him in his enclosure for a few days. Ive tried feeding him live mice and he is not wanting to have anything to do with it. I have him in a seperate tub for feeding. hes calm to the handling. Should i try F/T? Unsure what the next step to do to help him.
