    Hello from central Florida!
My name is Amanda, I'm 24 and I currently have an Australian Shepherd, Leopard gecko and a Bearded Dragon. I have always been interested in snakes and now that I am on my own I can finally get one... or four.:D I'm still doing my research so it may still be a short while until I actually them, but I'm planning on getting a Ball and possibly a Texas rat snake as well.

Welcome to BP.net. There are many great people here, and everyone is more than willing to help. All you need to do is ask. Just keep doing your research and you will be fine. You are better off taking a few more days to purchase a new snake than to buy one when you are not ready... Best of luck.....

Its still going to be a month or 2 before I get any snake. I want to have everything set up and ready first. I o have to say, that the 2 days of lurking this site before joining, i already like it much better than quite a few others. I haven't seen anyone make the "Newb" feel stupid or attacked for asking questions.

Glad to here that you like the site and welcome! And if only more people were half as cautious as you before making an investment in a pet. Kudos to you. :D

My experience with this forum is already 100 times better than it has been with others. I've only seen one or two "threads" that made me shake my head, but other than that everyone is VERY helpful. Welcome again :)
