Or, you could have developed an allergy. They can come and go. Does an antihistamine make you itch less? If so, then time to see an allergist.

Sorry to tell you, but that's from bedbugs. Our last building had an outbreak a couple years ago. They were mostly in the unit below mine. The bites are in that specific pattern. I had them only intermittently and never ever found a sign of them in my bedding, mattress, etc - until I saw one crawling on the wall. I've never had bites that itched like that, and that more you scratch, the worse they itch. They did treat our building and I bought protective mattress covers and diatomaceous earth and treated my apt. That seemed to work, and when I was bite free for over a year and a half, I bought a place and moved out. I'm extra paranoid about them when I travel now... :rolleyes:
