    Hey guys,

It's been awhile since I've been on here. It's great to be back!

I did a bit of searching, but didn't find anything on what I wanted to ask you all about. Has anyone seen the episode of Billy the Exterminator from July 21st? He caught a little BP in a woman's kitchen in Louisiana. He never once said that it was a Ball Python and that it was harmless. He said pythons can get to be 20 feet long and they're constrictors so they're dangerous. He also said that the BP was a baby but there is no telling how big it would get, leading the lady to believe it would be a monster.

I was shocked that the truth wasn't told about that little BP. What do you all think?

I did a search and didn't find anything. I just can't believe someone so "knowledgeable" would be so stupid!

There is actually a thread on this episode (and a few others), over on the "herp broadcast" forum - not sure why you couldn't find it? :confuzd: I personally haven't ever watched this show, just because I know it will tick me off... he sounds like a real piece of work!

I watched this show yesterday on i think A&E. There was an all day marathon of it on. It seems to me that he does know a lot, however most of his knowledge seems to be based on personal encounters in Louisiana. Ball pythons are not native to Louisiana, so it's possible that he knew it was a python because of marking and the shape of the head, however it's also possible that he mistook it for a baby Burmese python. Since Burmese are native to Florida, it's possible to see some in Louisiana.

I also believe that he exaggerates the danger sometimes for added dramatic effect.

It could also be possible that he makes things sound more dangerous than they are simply because he doesn't want people trying to wrangle snakes out of their own houses if they are inexperienced just to get seriously hurt and say "well I saw Billy the Exterminator do it, he says that this kind of snake wasn't harmful."
