My biggest problem feeder

I have an albino girl that is a pain in the butt. She will only eat mice and its every two weeks. She could take a small rat or even two mice but she wont. I can't get her past 400 grams no matter what I try. Any suggestion out there?:confused:

My Spider loves to eat and will eat whenever I offer him food. My normal girl sometimes just doesn't want to.

My normal is up to almost 1,700g now though, even being as picky as she is.
What I found worked was offering her a mouse and when she gulps it down, I rubbed a rat gently across her snout and she finally took it. They're F/T by the way.

I still have to feed her a mouse at first, but it's funky. After she eats the mouse, I offer her a rat and she gobbles it right up. I don't know why but hey as long as she's eating it's fine with me. She does go on an 'I don't feel like eating' binge every now and then for about 1-2 weeks but never for any extended periods of time.

Some BP's just won't get as big as others so maybe your BP is just destined to be a small one.

Every snake is different. People say pieds are poor eaters and lazy breeders, mine eats like a horse and bred at 6 months old. I have picky spiders and an albino that will slap your momma for a rat.

Most of my snakes will gobble down ASF's but i have 2 big girls that will only eat frozen/thawed rats... they make my life difficult :(

this guy use to be a great feeder when he was young. And he still has a stong nfeeding response he strikes when the rack is opened and he will take the ft rat and constrict it but then he just uncoils after a while and leaves it. I think im going to try some asf to see how he likes them

If he is striking and constricting but not eating try moving the FT rat around once he has coiled, like a rat that is alive. I have ran into this and just found the snake gets disinterested after the strike and coil, and the 40 seconds of movement on the FT once its been coiled will keep the snake after it. Make sure the FT is very warm too, I put mine in zip lock bags and put them in a container with hot bath water 5 mins before trying to feed. The snakes that all exhibited this behavior are back to eating great for me, so maybe a stage in that 400 gram area. Just my thoughts. Most of my snakes started feeding less at 400 grams, not all though.
