I know exactly how you feel, sucks not being able to find a job. I have been looking for a job now for almost a year and still nothing, and it is very frustrating to see all these people younger than me and who have less experience getting jobs...

Yeah. It sucks. I have a great job now, but two years ago I was jobless. The hard part is finding someone to hire you without a degree, and willing to pay you more than minimum wage.

I don't see how anyone can live of min wage anyway. It's ridiculous. Hang in there.

That's terrible. Especially if you are paying off student loans. Now those are total rip offs.

I wish I had places to look for a job. I have been laid off since dec of 08 and been collecting unemployment since feb of 09. There just isn't anything out there, well around here anyways. So I too can relate in some ways.

Yea I feel your pain... I was laid off last summer and still haven't been able to find a reasonable job! 6 job apps in the last 2 days with no luck so far.

You ask to borrow the money, they lend it to you with a deferred payment plan at low interest. What is the rip off part?

Just do not forget to Follow up! Thats the important thing( And this is coming from an 18 year old who in 7 days is going to have his own apartment, so I get how you feel about how some people take jobs for advantage.) The place I am working for now took several calls from me to get things rolling, I applied for around 10 jobs and only got one call back, and that's not even the job I got :P Yet I followed up on all of them and could have gone to five or six interviews. Sometimes even if they need someone new to work for them, they will push aside your Application and forget about it until you call asking about it.

I have a five day rule, First I go in asking the MANAGER if they are Hiring OR accepting Applications, most will tell you up front if they are looking for someone or not when asked that question. If they just say Accepting Applications, they may still be looking for someone. After I turn the Application in, I call back in five days asking for an update on it. Most told me that they had not even looked at it yet, and would promptly now that I called. Again if they do not call back, try again in five days. you honestly have to get on to them about looking at it, in a polite way. If you just turn in an app and expect them to call you back the next day, with no follow ups, you will be in for a rude awakening.
