You shouldn't handle him at all right now. It needs time to settle in. If it hasn't eaten yet, don't handle it at all until after it does. Once it eats wait at least two days after before you handle it. Once or twice a week is probably good for handling once he is settled in.

You didnt listen to anything anyone told you. They said to LEAVE it alone for a week. You said your only had him 5 days. Thats not a week. Have you fed him? If not then do NOT hold him until after he eats for you and then wait 2 days.

All your doing is stressing your snake out. Hes in a new place let him get used to the place before you go and start to hold him. If he hisses thats a sign of leave me alone, thats what i would do

She just asked the initial question 20 min ago. She handled the bp earlier today. I'm sure that she will give it a break after asking about it so probably no need to sound heavy handed.
As others have said you generally want to give a week or so for any new snake to settle in before handling. He ate for you so that's a good sign. Just remember not to handle for 24-48 hours after feeding.
