    Vin Russo het Albino
I already know the answer is probably no, but has anybody ever seen one of these for sale or am I destined to do this the hard way and breed an albino to one and raise them up? Ever since I saw the Polar Ball, I have to have one.

You can use any kind of het albino to make a Polar Ball. If you mean a double het(het albino/het Russo Lucy), your best bet is to e-mail Vinny.

I may be misunderstanding you. Are you saying that the Polar Ball can be an albino with any of the BEL morphs such as lessers, mojaves, etc? I am referring to an animal that is both het albino and het Lucy, specifically a Russo but if it's been proven that the albino gene will "leak" on other BEL's, then that could change my plans.

Well, he already got back to me and he does not anticipate any double hets so I would have to do it myself. So, has an albino BEL been produced using a Mojave, Lesser, Butter, etc and if so, did it look anything like the Polar?

No, BG is saying you can use any het albino. Your original post was a leeetle confusing to BG.

Although BG will say this....using one of those other snakes may have a similar result. It could look like the Polarball.

I think his original post was asking where to get Het Russo Het Albinos or if he would have to make his own. :gj:

Yep, that's what I was asking. But I guess the other question is, would a BEL albino produced using a lesser, butter or mojave also look like a Polar Ball or was this unique to the Russo? Same thing could be said about the black eyed lucies but I seem to remember some breeders were working on albino super fires but don't know if any have been produced. I always thought the idea of producing an albino lucy was a waste of time until the Polar popped out last year although it was an accident as he wasn't trying to produce one.

I thought it was produced a few years ago....

Anyway, the het russo is part of the BEL complex, so as long as its a clean BEL (ie no super mojaves) it should look the same.

Vin and I had a conversation about het albino het vin russo's and about about het albino granites. As far as I know he hasn't done them yet. I got my albino female from him and I was contemplating various mates for her. Personally I want to do albino mojaves and albino granites. My male mojave has great yellow tones to him that I hope will come out in a high contrast albino. Vin is a great guy to ask questions so drop him a line. He is very direct in his answers, but that is just him.
