    Vision Or NPI Cages?
I had originally heard about vision on a reptile care blog, and seen them on some videos. They look good but they are expensive. I can't find out how worth it they are and how secure those sliding doors are.

The NPI cages seem much more economical and have rolling racks built for them. But they don't have a place for heat laps that I can see so they are gonna need belly heat.

    NPI: http://npicages.com/index.html
    Vision: http://www.visionproducts.us/htm7/cages.html

So I am opening it up to the people. Which of these do you think is better? I haven't found alot on them really. Especially on people's reviews of NPI. But I am leaning that way.

Am I missing some good plastic Cages?

Am I getting on your nerves yet? :P

Let me know what you guys think please :)

Good thread, I'm wondering the same things

Someone mentioned this site yesterday also:

    http://www.dragons4you.net/CustomerPhotos.html

At the bottom of the cages page, they have this:

    34 1/2 L x 14W x 12H
    $145.00 Shipped
    Ball Python Cage

Seems like a decent deal...the link has photos and further info

Take a look at animal plastics and reptile basics. They might have what you're looking for. There is a dealer out there with plastic cages/racks that are not healthy to humans and the reptiles. I am working on getting some freedom breeder racks and I have racks that I built for now.

I had a few vision cages and didn't like them very much. They didn't hold the heat as good as I would have liked so I figured I would add a RHP but couldn't because of the design.

I also had a few NPI cages. They are paper thin and can't stack them unless you build or buy a rack to hold them. I resold them as fast as I could.

I currently have 3 different cage That im using right now and would recomend. PM herps, Boaphile and RBI.

Rich from RBI is the man, but I am skittish about cages with built in heat cause I heard a horror story on a reptile care blog about Someone with a boaphile cage with built in heat that had it melt.

Still I really trust rich. And I love his site.

I did end up buying NPI before this thread got some posts. Beautiful cages, sturdy rack. But nearly impossible to use with a heat lamp.

For my arboreals I use only Visions but I don't like the lip on the top and bottom for terrestrial snakes. If I were to use cages for my balls, they are all currently in racks, I'd probably use pvccages.com

Neither. I phased out my Visions - they warp and let out too much moisture and I could go on.............I liked the old regular styled neos but have never been a fan of the slant cages.

I still use Boaphiles and they hold up well with time.

AP cages - warp. I had to retrofit my big APs with angle aluminum bracing due to the extreme degree of warping.

Go with RBI and ask Rich to swap out the flexwatt for an ultratherm uth.

Either that or go with an RHP.

I've been going with Repti-Racks and their one-piece cages lately and have been pleased with their product. The only downside is the long wait time. I received three more with a pedestal about 45 days ago and so far so good.

right now im set up for 1 snake & i have a visionarium from creativepet.com. the price was decent but the shipping almost got me...over $30 in S & H alone!. ouch.
i will be using npi cages in the future cuz i wanna someday have 3 snakes but dont want to buy 2 more visionariums at their current shipping cost...
has anyone had any problems with npi cages? are uth's good with them or will the bottom warp with the heat?

I have Pro-Line and Pro-Style cages from Ed Lilley at Constrictorsnw.com...They are great and lightweight...The Pro-Lines are pretty much indestructible...

I also have RBI cages, but Rich doesn't make anything greater than a 4' cage and the heights are only 12"...But great customer service with a fast turnaround...
