Re: hides in tubs?
Most of mine do have hides, but a few don't... like Nerissa (large female) who only sits on TOP of hides, or pushes them around the tub. She's also in a smaller tub than my other large girl, since the 41qt seemed to stress her out - so now she's in a 32qt with no hide & extra substrate (newspaper). But if I can fit a hide in their tubs I usually offer one, since the majority of BPs enjoy the security.

Most of mine have hides in their tubs. Especially the youngsters. They like that security, and they seem to prefer to hunt from there as well.

That's so true, especially with my young ones... they love popping out from the hide for a strike!

No hides in my tubs. But I 25 quart tubs for most of my snakes other than the larger female breeders.

Re: hides in tubs?
every one of my animals is offered at least one hide, except for my largest boa who gets extra newspaper instead because i don't have a hide big enough for him at the moment. i find that every single animal makes use of the hides.
and except for the crested gecko, they are all in a rack.

All my smaller snakes get hides but if my bigger ones will eat without hides I don't put them in.

Re: hides in tubs?
No hides for me, but my rack is closed on back and sides so it stays pretty dark in the back.
