From my experience, the browns in butters are more creamy giving it a slightly brighter look. In that complex the popular opinion seemed to be Mojave,Lesser then Butter in brightness mainly from the browns represented.
Also seems like now from what i've seen at the latest shows lessers and butters are close in price. Butters being not quite as common.

Butter and Lesser are different lines of the same morph, just like Lemon and Bell and BHB and all the other pastel lines. If your really that worried about it, ask the person who produced it, but they are the same thing.

You have to look at the animal your buying and figure out if thats what you like. Just like buying a pastel, people seem to think lemons are the top of the line pastel but I've seen alot of lemons that could pass for normals. the label people put on them means nothing, look at the animal itself.

Nowadays you have no idea what you're buying. So many people have mislabled them over the years to make a sale, you just never know.

Just buy one you like out of either morph. They both do the same thing.:gj:

Sorry I don't have any lesser pics! However to me...and mind you...I have not been doing this very long...I think Lessers are a little bit more subtle in color....a bit more muted. Samantha just had her first shed with us and I swear I think she got brighter in color. Her blushing to me is quite amazing.

The only difference is the butters still cost a few dollars more. Buy the animal you like the best regardless of what made up name is attached to it. The above video shows a great looking butter and an average lesser. You can find butters that look like the lesser in the video and you can also find lessers that look like the butter. Good luck with whichever you decide. Butters/Lessers are the best of the inexpensive morphs you can buy IMO.
