Clown morphs
I am interested in designer clown morphs. We have a couple pastel clowns, but as they get older I am less and less impressed with them. We're hoping to produce Desert clowns this year, and I have dreams of various albino clowns in the distant future. I'd love to see pictures of any clown morphs you guys have.
Here are some of our clowns and one of the pastel clowns to start things off:

Re: Clown morphs
Love, love, love your reduced pattern clowns! I toyed with the idea of getting one to produce a clown pied, but never found one I liked (reduced pattern/crazy head pattern & male...always seemed to be one or the other)!

Re: Clown morphs
I just picked up and albino female 50% poss het clown. What would be the best route to take with her to prover her out? Would you go regular male clown or try to find a clown het albino or...Not sure wich way to take the project. Thats if she even proves out

I don't have anything but normal clowns, but I think a pastel fire clown would be sweet.

If your ultimate goal is albino clowns, I would pair her with a clown het albino if that's an option for you. That way, even if she is not het for clown you still get offspring with both clown and albino genes from the pairing (50% double het clown & albino, 50% visual albino het clown).

We're working on those too. If all goes well this season we'll have Firefly het clowns this spring.

Re: Clown morphs
I should preface this by saying that clowns are hands-down one of my favorite BP morphs, and the reduced-pattern ones like yours are at the very tippy-top of my list :) I think the older pastel clown you've got actually looks phenomenal -- I'd say I like it at least as much as the baby pastel clowns!
I am a huge huge fan of the lesser clowns. I would love to see a desert clown and REALLY love to see an enchi clown or even a desert-enchi clown.
I like the pictures of the baby albino clowns I've seen, but I'd really have to see pictures of the adults (or better yet, see 'em in person ;) ) before I would commit my breeding plans to that project. I like albinos well enough, but I haven't been blown away by too many of the albino combos -- particularly as adults, I feel like they all end up looking pretty similar -- just variations of a white and yellow snake. If they fade out, I find it hard to even tell the difference between a regular albino and some of the combos.
I don't really think you can go wrong with those clowns you've got, though -- those guys are smokin'!

Re: Clown morphs
Brock Wagner's Lesser Clown is sick. I picked up a female 100% Het. Clown last weekend. I plan on putting her with my butter ghost next year. I know it's a long shot for butters het clown males, but I'm not a big fan of normal clowns and if I hit a lesser clown in three years, I'd be stoked :D

Re: Clown morphs
Thanks for the compliments, I sure do love those clown girls!
I would love to see an adult albino clown also. I think even light yellow albinos are beautiful, as long as there is still a white background. We have a male albino who is almost all yellow now -- not a good stud for albino projects! What I really like about clowns though is that they are both a color and pattern morph, so I think it would be interesting to see where we can go with that. I would like to make lavender albino clowns, crider/ caramel clowns, and regular albino clowns. I like the idea of axanthic clowns, but I have yet to meet an adult axanthic that has impressed me. Perhaps mixing Fire into an axanthic would improve them. So many ideas...and so many involving recessive traits!
The lesser clowns are insane, can't wait to see what they look like all grown up.
