    possible het reds?
ok i had this offer yesterday. and i looked in the hunters guide and the blushing makes me think its an actuall het red. what do yall think. oh and here is the offer he sent me.

I am interested in your female Mojave...would you be interested in a trade for adult/sub-adult "het" Red Axanthics? I have 1.1 "het" Reds(they are not "hets" they are co-dominant with the super being the Red Axanthic). The male is ready to breed and the female will be by spring. Both are rat eaters and weighed 700+ and 800+ last Sunday. I weigh every Sunday and everything keeps eating! I bred my Red Axanthic female to a genetic granite male to get these gems. I provide sex and genetics guarantee. I ship first through www.shipyourreptiles.com with heat packs.

It's not a morph that I've studied much on, so I don't know enough about them to say definitively - but it looks het red to me.

I got this same offer! LOL I have seen him offering these to everyone as a trade so I am a little weary. Plus I don't really know much about the genetics of these "hets". So I was wondering the same things. If they are indeed what they claim to be or what.

If you are truly interested in this trade, I would ask this person for more info on these "hets". Ask them where they got these hets from, if they produced them ask to see proof that these are actual hets. Number one rule is to do your home work on the person you are looking to do a trade with! A het's genetics are only good as the seller. I'd also get a written guarantee on these snakes. This is just me speaking because I've been burned twice now on "hets", when really I was sold two normals. I now go over and beyond most people when it comes to needing proof and searching around before giving money or any kind of trade to someone else.

He says that he produced these by breeding "I bred my Red Axanthic female to a genetic granite male to get these gems." As stated in the original post he said he gauruntees sex and genetics. but this is the email I got from him...

The first pic is of my M9 male and the next 2 are the F5 female...I've included pics of the mother and some combos. Just send me your address and phone number for shipping and I'll ship first thing Monday morning. When I ship I'll include your email address as the secondary so you will automatically receive updates without having to go looking for them.

I provide sex and genetics guarantee. I ship first through www.shipyourreptiles.com with heat packs.

    Thanks

Yeah, Like I said he has been offering this trade to many ppl over on fauna. I looked him up and he was a member there since 05 and he has not ONE thread only posts. All 16 posts are him trying to trade these off to numerous ppl for a wide variety of things. He has no friends on his profile. So I am beginning to think that this is somekind sort of scam to be honest. But what I don't get about it is he is willing to ship first???????? So it might not be. IDK what to think but I know I am staying away and sitting back and seeing what goes down.

If he's sending this e-mail out to several people, trying to "get rid" of these snakes, I'd say don't do it. It sounds way too fishy to me. Plus, his shipping first does not guarantee the genetics of the snakes, and the only way to test the genetics is to wait until they're breeding age. By the time that happens, this guy will be long gone.

The middle one is the only one that looks like it may be Het Red to me, but I've seen some Het Reds that I wouldn't've known were hets had I not been told otherwise. *shrug*

I don't think those are het reds... I have 2 normals that look very similar to those.
