Red Spectrum....?
I was speaking with a local breeder and he mentioned something about a new morph that is being kept quiet called the red spectrum. Anybody else hear about these?
They are said to be co-dom and red and white and the superform resembles a superstripe but red and white in color.
I'd love to see a picture!

Re: Red Spectrum....?
I some how doubt that, considering we haven't had a morph yet that had what could remotely be considered red. It's also widely believed that Ball Pythons simply don't have any form of red pigment.

I was told there will be a picture in the Yearly edition of Reptile magazine. But I am asking simply because I haven't seen it for myself and was told this.
Either way, it would be awesome to know.

The reddest I have seen was red-brown on the red axanthics. It sounds a little dubious, but hey, who knows.

Re: Red Spectrum....?
if its trying to be kept quiet, there is little to no chance of u finding a picture here
and i wouldnt count out that alligation just yet, bc even the most experienced BP owners learn something new all the time :gj:
just bc u havent seen it, or heard of it, doesnt mean its not out there
just wait and see ^-^

Re: Red Spectrum....?
There is a red spectrum. It's owned and produced by NERD. At least two exist, at least according to a certain calendar...I took a few photos of the animals from the calendar. Here's the only decent one. Sorry for the poor quality; my camera washed out some of the red hues, but there are indeed very washed out reds in the animals. They somehow manage not to look pink. They're rather beautiful, actually.

BP's, depending on their colors, remind me of desserts. Example, normals remind me of cinnamon buns. Those.... are Twinkies

Does the calendar lend any info on their genetic background?

Re: Red Spectrum....?
Looks like a reddish Mystic Potion. I bet it's a Mojave crossed with something similar to a Mystic. I have no idea though, haha, this is the first I've heard of the Red Spectrum.
Cheers,
