    Are those heat rocks??

    If so, get them out, your snake will get burned. It's not a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN and how severe.

    They borrow in the wild and thats what it looks like he is doing! He needs a better hide! Those half logs offer no security and thats why he is acting like that!

    I agree with seeya205. That hide is not adequate and that is why the snake is poking his nose around looking for a new place to hide.

    thats the first time he has done that in five years and he has always had that half log... I have two of them and one has the back side blocked off

    My big female used to always burrow in her wood shavings...and she had two good hides! She just loved to burrow. And climb. I think she has green tree python identity issues. :D
