    Large enclosure build.
I started with an enclosure that someone had built already and put on Craigslist for 100. 8ft 3ft 4ft. Going to change the CHE out for heat panels. Going to use 3 of them placed in different zones. 1 hot 1 cooler on top and one hot and 1 aquatic side to the bottom. A ramp will be connecting them to help her climb up and down. I know the aquatic part is not necessary but Rainbow loves water. Will update photos as progress is made. Looking for suggestions on temp control in the 3 zones. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...695239dc3e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ef18a04fe5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...761125e127.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c5b6d22123.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ae9f40854f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d5ecca71a0.jpg

I'm not mechanically inclined so I can't offer any advice but I can imagine the possibilities with that enclosure. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

That looks awesome so far. How are you going to install the aquatic section?

I have a lot to do before it is done and have to get it ready before my new girl arrives in a couple of months. Going to do the spray foam rock formations and plants. I know I don't want to do bioactive but would love to have some live plants in there. I don't have all the materials yet and working on a budget. Keep in mind I am still paying 300 a month on the new girl. The new girl will go in the enclosure Rainbow is in now. I want it to be as awesome as I can make it because this is my display cage in the living room. Right now just working on sealing everything up with the paint sealant. The guy had lizards in it before and I know they carry bacteria. I sterilized the entire thing but the paint should cover anything I missed. More paint on the 15th and then the foam will be here on the 1st. when the foam arrives the real fun begins. Heat panels and LED lights will be here on the 15th of October. November 1st I might purchase a my temp controls and humidity monitoring. Still reviewing products. I hope by the time everything is done I will have less than 600 invested in the enclosure all together. Which is not bad for a huge cage like this one.

Youtube is your friend. Sometimes you have to grab a hammer and saw and see what you can do. You might surprise yourself.

I hope. This was a huge undertaking. Rainbow deserves it for sure.

I am going to put a huge tub for water in there so I can take it out for cleaning when she poops or pees in it. I need to figure out how to de-chlorinate the water on that volume that will be safe for her. Looking for suggestions here?

I really don't think you need to. I've never dechlorinated my snakes water.

But, if you really want to you could add a reverse osmosis filter or an activated carbon filter directly to your sink. Than attach a hose to fill your bucket or tub or whatever means you will carry water to the enclsoure. The hose may even reach the enclosure depending on locations if sink and enclosure.
You could also use dechlorinating agents found at pet stores. I use them for my fish, but not my snakes.
The third option would be to let the chlorine evaporate in a tub or bucket. This will take anywhere from 24-48 hours though, depending on chlorine levels in the water and how big the quantity of water is. You'll have to store the water uncovered somewhere it will stay clean though.

But any which way, I'll be watching this build and possibly "borrwing" some ideas from you. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. Rainbow is lucky to have such a hard working and dedicated keeper!
