Good point. I'm a friend of the Pythonica owner and I've offered to water mark all her photos for her so this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

I can see where the Pythonica employee that posted on here is coming from- they work hard to produce stuff that other companies don't (in this case- specializing in cinnamons and working to enhance that particular morph).

We've all got tons of photos on our harddrives with non-descript names. You see something online and click save as. I do it dozens of times every day. But- if you put the photos up online (and I'm not saying the original poster is the owner of the photo account that holds the picture taken from the Pythonica site!) you simply must quote your source!

I know the Pythonica employee that responded to this thread may have come off a bit strongly but please understand that they're really passionate about what they do and they're proud that all their hard work resulted in a some very, very unique snakes this year.

From personal experience I can say they're one of the highest quality and most competitively priced ball python breeders in all of Canada. The owner, Connie, provides customer service that's second to none. Email them and ask them about it if you don't believe me! I bought 3 snakes from her and received hours and hours and hours of valuable advice and insight into the ball python breeding business.

A little note about photo copyrights:

The moment a picture is taken it is copyrighted by the person who took it. You do not have to have a watermark or copyright notice on an image for that photo to be protected under copyright law.

If you use a photo that you did not take and do not have permission from the owner of that photo, you are breaking the law.

I am a professional photographer and have literally thousands of photo's in use by other people at this very moment. The moment I see a photo of mine or my company's in use by someone that I know does not have permission, I contact them and ask them to stop using it or to compensate me. If they do not agree to either, then a lawyer is called.

Having a watermark or the copyright symbol on an image just serves as a reminder and will deter some people from taking that photo.
I do not put any watermarks or copyright notices on my pictures because by law, I do not have to. Plus my images are distinct enough that I can spot one immediately.

Have you people not figured out that the picture in question is not in any way a Piebald?
It is a super cinny and happens that the line of cinnies often produces ringers.
And as has been said, unless you took the pic then you are responsible to respect the fact that it doesn't belong to you.
Keep your hands off other people's things unless you have permission. Or did your parents never teach you that?
