Glad to hear that they are doing better!

Any idea why 3 of your snakes have gotten RIs? I think you said that one got it while you were on vacation...but what about the other two? I'm not beating you up about it...just curious.

Ya no, not a problem. My first snake Bali (Normal Bp) got an RI about a year or two ago, from what I thought was temperature and humidity issues, but now that I look back, the temps were fine. It turns out that it was that stupid Care-fresh bedding. I didn't think much of it, and at the time I never thought that was the problem because my vet said that was not the issue. BUT, it wasn't that bad of an RI. It was really subtle and it was completely healed within 2 or 3 weeks with some antibiotics. So the same issue occurred a year after Bali's RI about a year or two later (these past couple of months). Once again my vet said temperature and humidity was an issue. But then I thought WTF? Everything is fine, now that I look back, There was one day that it got really hot and dry, like 110 degrees and 15-20% humidity. BUT, I misted the cage down and got the humidity back to normal within an hour. Turns out I misted it down too much and the Care-Fresh got moldy. I couldn't see the mold due to the color of the bedding. Ali's cage was the one that got moldy, none of the others for some reason.
Ali pooped and I decided to clean the cage, I was to lazy to take the cage outside and dump it out into the trash like usual. Then I noticed all of the mold and dust when I was scooping it out. And I said oh shoot, this is what gave both of the snakes RI's. Oh man! So that sucked. But so I switched ALL of the snakes into Sterillite tubs w/ paper towels.
Then I had to go on vacation and my friend was taking care of the snakes. I told him to wash his hands with soap and water and Purell in-between handling each snake, he, nor my dad or sister listened to this and held them together, Ali/Sniper. So thats my story and I am sticking to it. WOO. It is really pissy that this is happening and none of them listend, or admit that they did it.
I know that they did it because I said, "hey isn't it fun to hold all the snakes at once, I always do it" and they replied "Oh yeah that was great Yeah I did." then I said damn it and that was it. lol

I took Ali and Sniper to the vet, they will be staying for two weeks. I am going to hawaii and they need a place to be so they are there getting their shots and all that good stuff. I am really relieved that they will be ok, and that I don't have to deal with it for a good two weeks! The normal, pastel, and sorong gtp are at my friends house happy and healthy and should be fine there. Ahhh, its good to not have a care in the world for a little while. I have been so stressed out, I needed a break. Good news is Ali ate for the first time in a month or so and is looking great after she shed. Sniper, is just being pissy, though he did shed, he didn't want to eat.
    Tanks guys!

Ps. Both sheds were one piece and the mucous is going away noticeably. That Fortaz is good stuff!
