I guess I just have a problem with the "mentality" or "showboating" that goes with some big snake keepers.

Grow em fast breed em young seems to be almost a standard in big snakes. This is just my opinion so don't get all bent out of shape people.

Also when is a prey item to big? When the snake refuses it? Regurgitates it?

I'm just looking for a basis to feed my retic properly.

I too have to agree with the post above. Some of the most responsible and informative large snake keepers rarely post on forums and those keepers that do have a the mentality of a third grader. (Much like has been shown here in this thread.)

Just because some people prefer to keep large snakes and others prefer to keep smaller snakes does not mean that they should act like complete jacka$$es. This only shows their mentality and makes others ignore any possible info that they might provide.

Many seem to think that the loudest, chest-beater wins. I often don't participate in other forums because of this. I like that BP.net isn't all about being the loudest voice, and tries to focus on simple standards, that can be fitted into anyone's methods. Also, there are new people joining everyday, and I like the fact that they feel comfortable enough to speak up, ask for help, and get set down a path of great ownership.

Sometimes we do get those people that try to beat the dead horse and rattle the cage, or just come over to tell us we suck, but this is a sight of many new people, and quite a few veterans in the hobby. I like to think that we are a close community rather than other forums with show offs and the few and far between informative posts.
