I doubt your friends know as much as some of the established members here. What forum are they apart of and where did they learn their husbandry practices?

You need to not under estimate the strength of a snake. If it wants under the paper towels it will get there. Once there it will stay to long and you are going to have a burned snake.

Much of the things expressed to you have not been opinions and are facts. You seem to have very little working knowledge of snakes and need to listen to those here that are loaded with it. Many members here have probably been raising snakes longer than you have been alive.
I don't see why you ask the question and then discount the answer. I can tell you it is very frustrating to waste our time trying to help somebody that comes off with a remark and reason for everything they do wrong and try to convince us your practices are ok. You have many issues and maybe you should change your tactics and stop creating post and instead go on a reading:reading: binge and search the forum for all the burn snake threads, thermostat threads, feeding threads, and general husbandry threads. Nothing you have asked has not been asked before and at least if you read old threads you wont be wasting peoples time by getting them to help you just for you to say your way is working fine.
Do things your way. Lets see where that gets you.:frustrate
I hope for your snakes sake you stop being hard headed and follow the advice you are asking for.

I need you to understand that I actually have not asked for any opinions on t-stats on this thread. I have another post that I had asked about heating, if you want to tell me about heating tell me there.

Please go back and re read the care sheets available on this forum or get on Amazon and get an ebook on BP's or call a REPTILE SPECIALIST VET. The University's usually have a reptile/exotic vet on staff. These are animals totally dependent on our care and knowledge. They can't jump the fence and run away or hide from cruelty, their environment is entirely our responsibility. Refusing to listen to people far better educated in the hobby/business and purposely putting your animal in the environment you have is cruelty, plain and simple, I don't care how old you are. I saw on another thread you are getting a dimmer, better than nothing, but certainly not the best that you refer to.

Interesting you say I'm not listening to anything I've been told. The ONLY thing I have not done is get a thermostat, and yeah as you saw in my other post, I am wanting a rheostat.
Just to clarify for everyone, I did not say my snake is getting the best, I said you guys are trying to help my snake get the best. I am not boasting and bragging about my care, I am well aware that I am a beginner and there are things that could use some fixing- example, my hide. Which I asked about in another post.

you also need a heat lamp so that your ambient temperatures in the tank are over 80 degrees on the cold side.

The only topic of discussion on the threads I've read from you has been the thermostat. And now you are arguing about feeders. Why do you ask if you think you are right?
And no we aren't wanting your snake "to get the best", just the minimum required for the safety and health of your pet. Big difference!!!

And two hides, one on each side so he can choose and they need to be small enough that he touches it on the sides and top. Or put paper towels or newspaper in them to make a tighter fit.
I think you've been referred to the sticky on setting up a glass 10 gallon more than once

This wild caught troll may be a dinker. If you notice the slight trolling pattern on its side. BUT the markings on the head show a recessive trait leaning towards ignorance. Clearly we can tell this new hybrid mutation is different than most wild caught trolls. Generally the troll is very overt with its patterns. This new muddied look let's it live longer in the world. Undetected for just long enough. It's markings entice prey into thinking it is hurt confused or weak. Then it slips back and drags the prey along for a ride. My thoughts at at least.

And on that note I'm closing this down.
