Combat Control Team Targeteer...23 years worth. Spent 4 years teaching at the USAFA Prep School, but other than that, all my time was in the sticks.

Damn that is nice, I wish I had went into that or TACP when I was younger, once I actually started getting deployed to Iraq and such I found I loved being out in the wire but I was way too old at that point to attempt to get in one of them.

For me, it was the best career I could have asked for, and I didn't even know I wanted to do it until I was already in it.

I came in with a guaranteed job, but in Basic, this guy came into the day room one afternoon and asked who wanted to do cool stuff. He was wearing the old school green jungles with the slant pockets (this was 1985) and was bloused into some kick butt jump boots...I figured what the hell, I like to do cool stuff. I raised my hand, along with about 6 other dudes in my flight. The guy took us with him over to the Medina Annex training facility, and I didn't sleep again for 3 days, LOL. Those guys PT'ed us till we threw up...then PT'ed us again...then it got hard.

Long story, short, I passed, and next thing I knew, I was off to Hurlburt Field the day I graduated Basic.

Does anyone happen to know which episode did he encounter "baby venomous ball"? I found the show on netflix and would like to see it.

For four years. I got selected to help run Survival Training for the cadets right after they had that little scandal when it was "student run". In typical USAF Management fashion, I ended up teaching Military Theory at the Prep School.
