This has to be the 7th or 8th time I've seen them. I've seen a lot of concerts and they impress every single time. One of the best when it comes to live shows. Michael Akerfeldt is simply amazing and talks to the audience the entire time. He's hilarious and very witty. If you appreciate good music you need to put it on your list of shows to see.

they've been on that list for me for quite some time. it's good to know that akerfeldt is so engaging live. glad you enjoyed it.

A coworker of mine passed away from a heart attack this morning, only 40 years old.

What made me smile, even through the gloom, was a single white rose that someone had put on his desk and the support that I witnessed everyone provide one another.

It was very touching.

Nothing has made me smile today. Today is really smile-less.

This'll sound really bad at first, but what made me smile today was hearing about the little boa I'm getting this week getting herself in some trouble with a fly strip.

She's obviously fine or this would definitely NOT be a smiley story, but hearing my friend describe the entire fiasco, especially how the snake would keep getting stuck to herself and then getting mad at my friend for it, was pretty priceless. She's already been de-stickied and her tub lid reinforced, and now I know a little more about her personality even before I get to pick her up Wednesday :D
