    As of yet i have not taken any of my pythons to work but I have however taken most of them to Church :). I work in the Kids ministries at church, especially the Buss ministry. We take busses to neighboring areas and bring kids in and run a special program for them. The first time I brought one of my snakes a lot of people fliped out and went nuts, but the kids loved it. I would take him or her around to the differents groupes and do a small show and tell about the particular snake I had brought in. At the end I would be in the back and the kids could come and touch the snake if they wanted. :). If the groupe is samll enough and the kids are mature I will ocasionally let then hold the snake as well. Usually only in the teen groupes.

    Nice one!:gj:

    Even though in the story of Adam and Eve the devil showed himself as a snake I think it is good to show the youngsters that all of God's creatures are special...;)

    I'm not a religious person but believe that any suitable platform should be used to promote and educate:D Whether that is church, wok, school:D

    Dunno about that, you've got 17 balls it looks like so people might wonder...hmmmmmm:bow::bow::bow:

    Jokes aside, it's good to be able to find the humour in life with these things, good for your guys at your church to see that BP's ain't all that bad. Although I'd not recommend taking a Black Mamba or Puffadder to church or work, these things actually look evil:O:O

    Just in case you're wondering, Black Mamba and Puff Adder are African snakes, and super deadly:snake:

    :O:O :rolleye2::rolleye2: :rofl:

    Personally I'd stay away from venomous snakes of that calibre. Just the possibility of a chance that I could get bitten by something that could kill me is a no no. Guess I don't fit into the bracket of SERIOUS snake keeping, and by SERIOUS I meant deadly.:colbert: I like to be able to handle my guy not worrying about venom....

    Props to him/her though, you'd really need to be on your game and have solid safety practices when going anywhere near a Mamba. If they feel cornered they will not hesitate to strike and they can just as easily zap you in the face as on your ankle.

    Although saying that I have handles a juvenile Puffadder a couple of years ago, with a long stick:rofl::rolleye2:

    I didn't read all the posts here so someone else may have said this but it concerns me that you would bring a snake into a situation with other people who were unaware of what you were doing. Why wouldn't you tell them beforehand and avoid the screams? Instead, you freaked them out - and probably the snake as well. It all turned out alright in the end, luckily, but who knows? Just doesn't seem like responsible pet ownership to me. You're obviously proud of your snake and that's fine - but I think, especially in a country that has highly venomous snakes in the wild, a head's up would have been appropriate.
