I would guess that this is a 14 gauge in my ear now. I am not really sure why this hole was so much bigger than my other ear. Maybe a dangling earring got caught on something years ago and I forgot? Could be a possibility..

Is this considered hanging? I put this in today with no tearing at all. The balls are pretty heavy. It's PVD coated titanium I am told.

I had mine stretched out to 3/4" but I took them out. I am thinking about gauging them out again. Hot Topic has these cool 3/4" plugs that are clear and have a real beetle in each one. They are awsome looking!:headbang:

I don't want to go much bigger with mine; I just like the look of a thick barbell in them. I also like the crescent-moon tapered ones. A real beetle; sounds cool!

Way back when, I took my ears from 12ga to 4ga in something like a month with no tearing. I borrowed 10, 8, and 6ga jewelry from friends, and gave each one about a week. I also used KY Jelly on them, and most popped right in with no pain whatsoever.

Wow; that is a Fast progression! Glad you didn't get any nasty blowouts.
Here is my left one (actually, the one that gives me the most trouble, as the stupid piercing was crooked from when I got it pierced 14-odd years ago by a "gun" at the mall.) As a teen I had to re-pierce it but I didn't do it any favors, as it was still crooked. Now I think that things are working out better with it.. this is a view from the backside; I am proud to say, no blowouts! My right ear is straighter but None of the pics I took of it came out.
Do you-all experience some crusting, especially overnight? They are Not bleeding but do have a weird crusty goo that comes out. I read that this is dead skin cells..
    These are both 12 gauge.
