Adelita continues to grow well here and has comfortably settled in to her "big girl" quarters. She won't be an only boa for much longer -- I've officially made a decision on "second boa," as I like to call them. I'll leave the rest as a surprise, but hopefully you'll be meeting them soon!

Re: Adelita - 2019 Hypo Sonoran
Spring has arrived disturbingly early, and Adelita seems to be perking up for the season. It was nice spending a bit of quality time with her today after not having a lot of time to do so the past few weeks. She's around 26 inches nowadays and 134g with a few meals in her. After seeing how small Kuzco -- a male of a nominally larger subspecies that's about a month older than her -- is compared to her, part of me is wondering if the "conservative" 10-12 day feeding schedule I put her on back in December was conservative enough. Either way, she's on small mice now, so she's on a ~14 day feeding schedule from here on out.

Adelita has been openly basking quite frequently as off late. Her behavior has definitely changed as spring has arrived -- she pretty much stuck to her cool hides during the winter, but now she's seeking out the heat and basking more frequently. She's currently in dark phase and basking off last night's mouse. It's been quite fun to watch her behavior change with the seasons.

She's so cute, love the setup you have her in, nice and natural,
I love when they chilled and just sleep out in the open
