I ended up doing a paid league with co-workers. We all put in $20 and winner gets $180, second place gets $20. I can't wait tbh. I wasn't going to play this year but my supervisor talked me into it.

I'm willing to throw in $20 if everyone else is for the bp.net pot haha!

See I wanted to do a league where whoever won would win a baby spider ball python, so everybody put up a bit but I was told NO. So I never even got to post and ask about it, that's why I started a league at work. I wanted to possibly have a chance at winning something.\

Totally bummed I missed getting in on this! :(

Mike Prizes in BP.net League are donations and participation is free.... there is no way that STAFF will allow payed participation league here...

Differences between Neal concept and ours is
Neal's : Pay for Fun, In that Case pay to win = hazard with is against whole idea of this page as family forum...

Our: Have Fun for FREE

This year edition of league have prizes only because some of participant decided to Make Donation ....

It's not that the conept is differen. Ask anybody who has playd fantasy football how many people lose interest throughout the season, especially if they start out bad. With a donation to enter a league, it keeps people interested, especially if the winner gets a prize. I played in the BP.net league two years ago I believe, maybe three. By week 5, 3 people had quit playing and by week 8 two more. That left us with only 5 actual playing so it kind of ruined the fun.

Maybe just the group you had? We played last year for free, no prizes, with 12 teams and everyone played through the end. It's gotten progressively better every year as people actually interested keep returning. I'm so stoked for this year. It's going to be super fun.

I was still watching the wire and debating trades well after I was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. it's good fun. should be even better this year. see everyone on sept. 1.

p.s. I think I like the fact that every league I'm in prefers the 'snake draft' option. took me longer than it should've to realize it refers to the selection order and wasn't specific to our bp.net league.
