I'll personally stick to a happy medium...nice healthy animals and a seller that isn't too lazy to use this key "." and this one ",". If they're lazy enough to skimp on something like that, what else are they skimping on?

Something like that tells me the person would have no problem keeping multiple animals in a big 'ol fish tank instead of seperate enclosures for each one...because well...it's actually work to clean and maintain enclosures for each individually...just my opinion...

You could be the best breeder in the world, but the way you communicate is going to turn a lot of customers away because it makes you look lazy. That will cost you sales. In the BP business, you're going to need every advantage possible. You should look at this as constructive criticism, not "destructive".

like i said i do apreciate the help. dont get me wrong but when people assume you have been doing this for a long time and puts them down for not being knowledgable it doesent help but i apreciate your comment thankyou

Not destructive, but constructive criticism..

If you are asking for help on a situation, or communicating with potential customers or sellers, using proper punctuation and grammar DOES help you out. Poor grammar and/or lack of punctuation can lead to misunderstanding, which can lead to major issues with a deal.

You may want to practice using proper English(American) as much as is possible so that it becomes natural for you to type that way. Send your emails or posts or whatever you happen to write to a friend to "proof read" and point out any issues, so you realize what is confusing and what is "passable".

Being able to type up a reply to a email communication will soon make you look like a rocket scientist, with the way people are becoming more sloppy. I myself don't automatically consider a poor writer to be a poor keeper of animals, but I do consider that they may be sloppy in setting up a deal, since they are not very clear when they are typing out the offer to me. Text-speak and a lack of structure can make it impossible to work out what they are offering or expecting, and thus I'd normally rather pass on the possible deal and move on to someone who is more clear.

When you are presenting yourself as a professional, it's better to appear to know what you're doing and not like you're typing out the fewest possible characters so you can get back to video games or pizza or whatever activity that is more important than responding to the communication. When you have a store, and a customer walks in, you don't generally greet them with "Yo what you want?". You'd normally ask politely so the customer knows that you genuinely want to have them as a customer. It should be no different via email.

Agreed, entirely. If you're serious about all of this, you need to either take a refresher course in English writing, or hire someone to write for you. There's a lot of text-based communication involved in buying and selling animals online, and the more professional you look, the more people will trust that you know what you're doing.

I'm also one of the people who wouldn't buy anything from someone who used 'txt spk' on a forum, and didn't use, at the very LEAST, capitalization and basic punctuation. Everyone in the US has been afforded an education that covers those basics. If someone has not learned those things, it's not because they didn't have the opportunity to do so, it's because they did not apply themselves. That reflects on their character. If you don't want to present the image of being a person who does not apply themselves academically (and thus, would not have researched all that they should on caring for animals), then definitely make sure that you write like someone who cares about education.

It may be an entirely false impression, but in business, appearances mean a LOT. I do know folks who write very poorly, but are educated in other ways. Yet, I still have the bias I do, when I see poor writing skills.

Alot. Of times I post quick replies with bad spelling and grammer, but thats because i work 7 days a week, and im usually on the go, i guess i can see the point though, when shelling out a few grand for a snake, you dont want it being from a moron. Sorry for being argumentative guys lol
