Re: List your pet peeves.
Another pet peeve is people letting their dogs out in the morning and they bark nonstop for several hours. I work a rotating schedule and have to sleep during the day and all i hear is YAP! YAP! YAP! from the rat sized dogs down the street. I love all animals so i wont hurt them but the owners better watch their backs.
Re: List your pet peeves.
I hate when I go into a store with my phone then go up to the clerk and tell my friend I'll be back in a second, and they keep talking while I'm checking out, as if I still have my phone near my face or plan on responding.
Re: List your pet peeves.
as a chashier, when someone i ring up is on their cell phone chatting away and they dont pay attention to me and they talk and talk and slow my line down instead of hanging up or something. or when they're about to pay and say "i forgot my wallet/card in the car" argh!! or they cant find their money or card and take forever and slow down my line.
Re: List your pet peeves.
I used to work at a gas station, I know the feeling. Hence always putting my phone down. Mind that I also engage the cashier in stimulating conversation, and tend to make them smile, honestly, before I go.
Re: List your pet peeves.
BG has a new one. When a customer comes up to your table at a reptile show and some leeetle fellah with an internet reality show comes up...taps your million dollar customer on the shoulder.... and steers him back to his table to buy a snake from him instead.:rage::rage:
Yeah...that leeetle fellah.:D:D
ps. He was warned Big Gunns was gonna post this.:D:D He was nice enough to bring someone else back to buy something cheap that he didn't have though. BG decided to let him live.:D
Re: List your pet peeves.
When someone states, or asks, something to do with gender when it should be sex.
I.e. References to a snake's gender. It is impossible for a snake to have a gender...
Gender is a social construct. One that is learned over time. Whereas your sex is what you are born with.

Re: List your pet peeves.
There are a lot of things that get on my nerves. A lot of them fall under one heading though:
INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE
If you do anything without taking into account how your actions may affect someone else, you're inconsiderate. Primarily this involves drivers, cell phones and smokers for me, but there are many others. Old people driving does fit into this category. If your mind is moving as slow as your body, you need to get your groceries delivered or have a family member that will take you.

This is an awesome statement, but can't truely be appreciated unless the viewer is the same way.
ADD/ADHD diagnosises are somewhat a pet peeve. Chances are the patient is just interested in something different than the diagnoser (not a real word, but you get the point). This stems from a society who believes everyone should be the same and have the same interests.
