Thank you for all of the kind words, ladies. Almost making me blush over here. And Mike - do what you gotta do brother. While I still love women, I just don't have any interest in getting into something even remotely serious right now. Now if something grows into that, then fine, but I will NOT be looking for something serious.

Looking good brother! I haven't dropped 35 pounds since April but I've probably dropped 5 - that is fat lost as well as muscle gained. I'm a bit hungry right now but am not goint to eat until I take my protein shake after I get done in the gym in a couple of hours. No weights today but I will be walking at a 20:00 mile pace on the treadmill at 15% incline with a 60 pound pack, and I'll hit my abs before I do that. I lift 3 days on 1 day off and in those three days hit every muscle group. What did you do for exercise?

And here is a better one of my face, as requested. This is me and my 1SG by the grill. Every sunday I cook out for our guys so we can get out of the DFAC and spend time together as a team outsid of a work environment.

Thanks bro, it's guys like you that motivated me. I retired in '06 and started work as a DA civilain in '08. So I see Soldiers every day and was kind of going to the gym but just checking the block not taking it serious at all. Then I got to the heaviest I ever been, my back was getting worse, migraines getting worse, the arthritis in my joints was getting worse and I needed to change. Without going into too much detail here's my workouts: I run at least 2 miles every day (Monday thru Sunday), staying between 7 and 8 minute mile (some days are better than others), and an ab routine. I try to do an ab routine different than the day before. Then I go back to gym at lunch. Monday and Wednesday is weights - low weight high reps - working chest, arms, and abs. Wednesday I work shoulders, back, and legs. Tuesday and Thursday is some sort of cardio workout - I'll go for distance or wear a weight vest or run hills or do sprints. Friday is crossfit day. I also changed my diet a lot. I cut WAYYYY back on carbs, eat higher protien foods, cut back on sugary drinks and drink a lot of water, snack on fruits, eat more veggies, and portion control. The good thing is I don't get hungry so I don't feel the urge to snack.

P.S Great picture of you and 1SG. I have some like that of me and my Platoon.

Hell yeah man! My 1SG and I get along great and even though we do our own workouts we will still go to the gym together. I am one of the few officers that he has every actually liked and I have a huge amount of respect for him. He's a scout and on paper is perfect, but he didn't get picked up for SGM this month, at leat I believe, because he doesn't have a degree and he is white. Oh well I guess, all I know is that he would be an absolutely outstanding CSM of a battalion or BDE someday. I'm artillery, what about yourself?

I was Infantry my whole career and spent the first ten years Airborne. They were going to make me 1SG to tempt me to stay but I was ready to retire. I understand what you mean about his not getting promoted, I witnessed that before.

Ladies, be glad I'm not posting pics of myself without a shirt on. This thread would never recover if I did. :D

More old pics I came across earlier.

The day I cut all my hair off in June of 2009. That was a bad day.
