Ants do breeding of aphids as instinct and hive mind. Dolphins are problem solvers, rather like chimps. Ants are no good at something outside of their normal routine.

I think people don't realize how many hybrids they come across on a day to day basis. Some of our livestock, a lot of our plants, and many many of our pets. We freely accept certain hybrids. Though not known as fact, the ferret, is thought by a lot of people to be a hybrid. Some people in fact think the dog is not directly from the wolf but possibly other canine species as well. Everyone in the fish community hates the blood parrot cichlid and the flowerhorn, but freely purchases the humble platy (swordtail/variatus/and one i cant remember) Thats a cross. In fact they say most of the swordtails you buy have platy blood in them.

Myself, something does slightly bother me about hybrids. I also try to let go of that however. I don't see the harm in it. So what if it messes up the bloodline? We aren't releasing these things into the wild, we are creating pets.

so says the humble owner of a creamsicle corn snake....
