Re: What do you think of young people with herps?
It's a good thing to be educated about all species on our planet. As long as they take good care of them. I know a 15 year old that's helping me with my ball because he has some ball pythons and knows alot about them. He is very responsible and takes real good car of them. And I'm 40 something and learning. Some are really responsible and it also teaches them how to respect and not to be scared of herps. My 2 girls 5 & 7 do help with mine and I think it's a good thing.

    Regards,

    im 17 years old.
    im learning new things everyday.
but my 2 cents is, if you can take care of a animal, you kno proper care, and you have plans on what to do, when you move away for collage, or anything of that sorts.... your ok in my book.

my parents know, when i go to collage, they have 26 snakes, and 5 geckos and fish to take care of, till i get back of coarse.

    its a long comitment.
and i dont recommend it for anyone looking for a "cute little hobby".

at age 17, i am a contributing member in our local herp society, i teach younger children about many herps, and sometimes older people too, i do tons of research, and it not just pets for me, its my life.

    just my 2cents.
