Snakeman it's like everyone said you still have a lot of time left in life to meet that special someone but I understand that it seems you would like the attentions of the female gender.
It is like a few have stated when you are trying really hard to meet someone it seems you never will so just relax and do your thing and when you least expect it BAM there she will be.
Follow the advice of going to places and events that would attract women who would have the same interests as yourself then you won't have the burden of wondering if the hobby is a barrier and it is true you may not meet her there but meet her thru someone you met there. Ya gotta network my son!
Most of all always be yourself and be true to thyself and you will never go wrong. It will happen, just relax and let it come to you.

wow i go to my last 2 classes and i come back to find all this...interesting.
Adam- the whole "hit it and quit it", i didnt take it as something i should do.i knew it was a joke,it's not like im gonna go after school and find some girl and "hit it".
i know im still young and as a teen im obviously attracted to females right now.i guess i'll wait for events like reptile expos nearby or when there are some kind of animal gatherings and maybe have some luck.most of the time i spend studying and doing homework.normally as soon as a girl gives me the "eww" speech when i tell her i have tarantulas/snakes, most of the time i dont really bother talking to them ater that since i cant stand it when they talk smack about animals they dont know the 1st thing about.
