Re: what do you do for a living?
I'm a full time single mom to Robin, and a homemaker. My "other job's" official title is Manufacturing Technician V but we call 'em process techs. I work in a Class 10 (or cleaner) cleanroom fab manufacturing the printhead technologies for HP printer pens.
I cover the metal deposition work areas in two fabs and use tools and processes in a third. Part of my job involves being SCBA certified and cleaning up chemical spills. I'm a medical first aid, first responder in case of injuries or illness here on site.
Since we run 24/7, I'm one of many on the vampire shift, and I don't have weekends, either. We used to work F, Sa, Su and every other Monday, but the dumb :cens0r: :cens0r: :cens0r: :cens0r: management decided to change our pivot day after what? 15+ years?...now not only do I not get a weekend, my week is E:cens0r: :cens0r: 'ed up too....every other WED, T, F, Sa.
(But some job is better than NO job, right? :sigh2: ) I've managed to survive thru 2 layoffs and now the 2nd enhanced early retirement offer, so I'm just hanging in there.
I'm working to build my Mary Kay business. With that, and once I get the breeding part down and successful, my boas and balls and the snake rescue and the MK will be my income so I can quit my job here and join the living again.:sunny: :carrot:

I'm a jewerly designer. I make gemstone, crystal, glass and sterling silver jewelry. I have a business called "Pieces of Amber." I am getting ready to have a site up, but for now I do lots of local home shows, motorcycle shows, and craft shows. I have to say it has been a positive venture...I profited this year at tax time. :sweeet:

Re: what do you do for a living?
I just recently got out of the healthcare field and went to doing cutom framing. I got tired of working 60 hours a week and doing back breaking work. I love this new job and am extremely happy that after just 3 weeks at this new job I was promoted to assistant manager yesterday. Well...all the paper work and my testing is done next week to become assistant manager:D
Re: what do you do for a living?
I work as a Assistant manager in a pet store (which DONT OR WONT stock any sort of reptiles) we could of had them added to our license a while back but i advised the powers that be against it, as im the only person there with abit of knowledge of reptiles , everyone else is like ooooh noooooooooo not snakes ugh :( so i told H/O to not have them added as when im on a day off or on holiday etc id be worried sick how the reptiles were doing :(
Re: what do you do for a living?
I am still with Pioneer, but instead of being a bill collector per se, I just call people who are already in repayment plans and set up payments fr a few months; offer settlements, etc. I am doing much better in this department and will double my salary from last year.
