from my readings, yes they're okay but do need some adjustment to help trap humidity. so far i have not made adjustments to my 12x12x18 mesh top and it's doing well, tho it does get close to dropping below 50% if i don't pay attention. i'll be adding tin foil over one half in the next day or two.

crestie enclosures should be misted once or twice a day to jump that humidity to around 70-80%, then you allow it to fall throughout the day/night (not dropping below 50%).

Cresties are infamous for sleeping in all kinds of weird positions. The pangaea forum has a sticky thread dedicated strictly to photos of cresties sleeping in funny positions. Very cute!

Btw someone on my hermit crab forum recently got a crestie and was posting about it. She used frog moss as a substrate which I thought was BRILLIANT. Helps with humidity, looks great and I don't think there's any way ur crestie could accidentally swallow that stuff. I'm pretty set in my paper towel ways but thought u might be interested for your terrarium.

Also ps I double checked the thread and I gave u the wrong moss, it was actually zoomed sphagnum. I imagine frog moss might work too but spaghnum would be alot easier
