KMFDM, there's another blast from the past...damn, I used to have all the time in the world to delve into all my musical tastes, now it seems a lot of the stuff I used to listen to has faded into the background...kinda sad :(

Yup, closest they came to me was Chicago or Pittsburgh though. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I had to work and wasn't able to go to either one of the shows. Ministry and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult are touring now, I'm seeing them in Cincy 2 days before my 20th birthday as a gift from a friend. It's gonna be chaos, I can't wait.

The old LITHA method. ;) Worked well for my stomach tattoo, just make sure to keep it hydrated if it looks too dry/flaky.

i used betadine cream (NOT the brown liquid stuff in a bottle--this is like gel and comes in a tube) on my tattoos and it worked extremely well. it has antibiotic and moisturizer in it, so perhaps that helps out a bit. just a thin layer though, like uberalice said, and not globbed on. you just don't want it to dry out. i'm sure once you get it touched up it will be awesome. 8)

Hehe gem of a thread for so many reasons - Skinny Puppy fan from way back, followed a lot of what cEvin did for years as well before kind of drifting out of industrial and into sombient. Some awesome looking tatts as well - I've been thinking hard about yet another and it will definitely be snake-related - likely either a top down of Kali's head showing off her ankh, or if i can design it well enough that it doesnt too closely resemble something cliche (oh noes coiled snakes) or a caduceus i'd like to get one of black and red blood pythons twined up my spine. I'd originally wanted the design in my avatar (snaked from Samael's "Ceremony of Opposites") but the reverse image's details ("lines" which would have to be uninked skin) would likely not have good contrast).

That was a good bit ago so if they've since come out with a nice opaque white ink . . . hehe.

Alice, was there a particular angle of (ball) python skull you were looking for?

(EDIT: sorry for the parenthetical hell there - don't think i am totally back yet )

Smulkin, I was look for a dorsal view, so I could show them how little skull is actually covering the brain area in most snakes. While there is some amount of braincase, it's so thin in comparison to ours that it doesn't provide much protection.
BTW: WHOA! Kali really does have an ankh on her head! THat's awesome.
I've been wanting a snake tattoo as well; I considered getting the veterinary symbol (cadecus with a "V" in front of it) on the middle of my chest when I finish vet school, but man, that's not gonna be pretty when I'm 60. ;) I've always liked the snake-coiled-around-the-upper-arm look, but my upper arms are already reserved for my tebori pieces. I like the infinity symbol personally:
    http://www.escher.info/images/Snakes.jpg <-- A variation, very Escher-esque.
    http://www.gencem.org/images/photos/ques_snakes.jpg <-- Standard type symbol.

Hehe - I've got a septagram made entirely of overlaid "7"s with an Om and a lemniscate (that infinity diddly) embedded in it. I'd considered the arm-wrap if the back design looked hokie - it'll be hard to coil a coupe of really thick-bodied snakes and be really hard to NOT leave it reminiscent of the caduceus - even with the heads turned out.

Rex - I am currently taking the head from the logo art and dropping it down to line art with the scales delineated if that helps.

Cool on the skull thought you were brewing up a design with it lol - and you are right in that the pate is relatively thin and wont withstand a lot of pressure from above.

did find a 'retic skull pic http://www.evolutionnyc.com/id-843/I...21_1004660.JPG but wrong angle to boot
