I work in a stem cell medical research lab.
I do the in vivo animal testing portion of studies. Occasionally I might do in vitro stuff, but not common.

It's pretty enjoyable and interesting. And I promise I'm not a psychopathic sadist.

Why would selling the odd bit of art be embarrassing? :P

Oh, the part about being a kept woman. Nope. Not really. Sure, I'm dismayed with myself for not finishing college and there are certain other complications. Meeting new folks in the real world, it's a few minutes out of a conversation and after that, nobody cares.

Geologist. I work for a massive seismological research program called EarthScope, mostly in an education and public outreach role. But my real passion is gemology and metalworking, I'm currently training as a metalsmith and will hopefully be opening my own little (online) store soon.

Although I'm moving to VA in December at which point I will be jobless!

Weather forecaster for the AF :) I like it well enough, as I've always been interested in sciency things.

But my passion is animals, of course. And I'm pretty into arts and crafts, the latest being glassworking (aka lampworking, in this case); in addition to sewing and making jewelry, particularly chain maille. Someday I hope to be good enough to make a living off of any of these.
