See, you are getting the idea already!

You for sure might want to check Ebay. You can find many, many, many things there and if you shop carefully, shipping is not unreasonable. Much better usually than an actual store would be. You might even be surprised by how much you can find that is close to you and shipping would be very low. It's worth looking into.

No even if they are opposite sex they still are not social animals. They still compete and try to dominate whether same sex or opposite sex.

This is actually a pretty good shot of male dominance behavior, they're wrestling to see who's best. I haven't actually seen this much in ball pythons but in other species they'll wrap each other up and slam each other into the ground to show who's strongest. NOT mating behaviour.

I'm glad to see you did separate them! That picture that is quoted above by Mark is all I needed to see to know they are both male.

If they were both female, I would say just keep them together, but this dominance combating is not a good sign and one of the snakes will end up feeling really crappy about himself after :(

Its not impossible to co house ball pythons, but it is just so much easier to keep them in their own home :)
