No even if they are opposite sex they still are not social animals. They still compete and try to dominate whether same sex or opposite sex.

This is actually a pretty good shot of male dominance behavior, they're wrestling to see who's best. I haven't actually seen this much in ball pythons but in other species they'll wrap each other up and slam each other into the ground to show who's strongest. NOT mating behaviour.
